To Be Alive…a Stream of Consciousness monologue

How I desire the simple things in life.

Like walking on an empty sidewalk with my thoughts the only company I need.

The peace that comes with walking through the forest. The sounds the trees make in the wind.

Feeling the wind on my face and rain on my skin.

The beauty of a sun rise. The glory of a sunset.

How I wish to simply live my life without confusion.

Without this prison we call freedom.

Without the trying to win, but never ahead.

Instead of trying to be the best, what would it be like to simply be?

Be who I am and decide who not what I live for.

Is survival living? Is this life a facade?

What’s important? Why do we choose to live the way we do? Work-work-work. But don’t live to work, work to live.

Take time, not too much time.

Talk, but don’t talk too much.

Be quiet, but not too quiet.

Take chances, but don’t that chance.

The world can make the mind go crazy.

Maybe that’s why I love the silence.

In the silence I finally understand.

We all just try to live our best life.

What does it mean to live your life right?

What would it be like to live without wondering what it is to be alive?
