Philippians 4:13 says, I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
Okay, here’s the thing: this is absolutely true!
I can do all things through Christ.
You can do all things through Christ.
He will give us strength to do His will.
However, just because God gives strength, doesn’t mean we don’t need to ask for help.
God created us to live in community with others for a reason. We don’t have to walk this life alone. Sometimes, God puts people in our path to help us when we need His strength the most. Maybe, God is using these people to do his work.
God is with us always. He’s given you friends and family to help you along the way. Maybe God will use someone in your life to help direct your path. God is working through them to help you. To give you strength.
I believe God does not give us more than we can handle. Sometimes, that’s funny because it feels like God is asking us to handle A LOT. God knows our strengths and weaknesses. He may challenge us, but I don’t believe He will push us beyond what we are able to handle.
Remember, we can do all things through Him. God gives us strength to overcome whatever we are facing.
But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.2 Corinthians 12:9
So, if you’re feeling lost, overwhelmed, uncertain, maybe even a little weak, remember this: God can bring you through. Put your Faith in Him. He will give you the strength to overcome.
And, don’t be afraid to turn to people in your life for help or guidance. Because I believe God puts people in our life for a reason. God gives us strength, but it’s okay to ask for help. Asking for help doesn’t mean God isn’t giving you strength.
Maybe, it just means God is giving you the wisdom and strength to ask for help. To understand who you can ask. To seek wisdom through God may mean turning to people in your life you can trust.
When I pray, I pray for strength. For understanding. For faith.
Trust in the Lord. Trust God, not circumstances. He has a plan. And he will give you strength to see it through.
