Well, dating apps may have failed me, but I do have good news: I got a new job! I’ll be working as a Student Support Advisor for a K-12 online school!
It’s a complete blessing, and I believe, a total “God-thing” as I applied to the position and the stars basically aligned. Ever have those moments when life just falls into place?
This job is such a blessing, especially considering the state of the world right now. It made me realize how, even when it doesn’t seem like it, God is looking out for me and wants what’s best for my life. I didn’t get this job on my own: God led me to find the open position, apply, interview well, and receive a job offer.
So often I feel a little lost, confused and uncertain of the direction I should take, but then there are moments like this: when God’s guiding direction is so clear that it’s obvious He had a plan all along. Everything works out in the end the way it’s supposed to.
So as I think about other areas in my life where I’m still confused and uncertain (like last week’s rant about 5 things I learned from dating apps), I’ve realized that as long as I keep moving forward: God will help me work that out, too. I can’t see it now, but I know that one day I’ll look back and see God at work. And sure, that takes faith to trust that He has a plan, but I know that He does and it’s already in progress. I just can’t see it right now. But just because you can’t see something, doesn’t mean it’s not there.
Because this job has been here for me all along. I just had to gain the needed skills, knowledge, and see that a great job like this even existed. So if God can help me find a good job, He’ll help me in the other areas in my life I’ve been struggling with. I’m not alone. I never have been. And there’s always been a greater plan than what I can see. I have to trust in His timing—not mine.
2020 has been a crazy year! Absolutely crazy. But there’s still a few months left, and while it’s bound to get crazier, I intend to finish this year out strong;
trusting that God will work all things out for good.
Romans 8:28 says; “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”
