It’s Okay

It’s going to be okay.

It’s okay if the only thing you did today was get out of bed. It’s okay if the biggest step you can take is a step outside. You are still taking steps. You are on a path. It’s going to be alright.

It’s okay if you’re unsure of your life direction. It’s okay if you don’t know where to go. You’re on a road to somewhere. It’s okay if you don’t get there today. One day you’ll look back and know.

It’s okay if you’re scared. It’s okay if you’re not. It’s okay to feel sad. But don’t let despair steal your joy. Don’t let negativity rule your thoughts.

It’s okay to not be okay. It’s okay to be disappointed. It’s okay to be confused. It’s okay to feel the way you do. Feelings are valid, but don’t let them take over. It’s okay to not be okay, but it’s not okay to use it as an excuse.

You are not depression. You are not anxiety. You are not the thoughts in your mind screaming at you that you are not good enough. You are enough.

You are not your darkest thoughts at night. You are not who those people say you are. You are not who those people make you think you are. Those people are not your people. It’s okay if you don’t know that now. One day you will. You are enough because you are you. Walk away from those who don’t see your worth, too.

You are not your past. You are not your mistakes. You are not a lost cause. Keep holding on. Have faith.

It’s going to be okay.
